Egipatski predsednik Abdel Fatah el Sisi ukinuo je vanredno stanje u zemlji nakon više od četiri godine.

El Sisi je na Fejsbuku objavio da neće produžiti vanredno stanje uvedeno u aprilu 2017. godine, koje je od tada produžavano na po tri meseca.

On je svoju odluku obrazložio time što je Egipat postao "oaza bezbednosti i stabilnosti u regionu", prenosi AP.

Vanredno stanje u Egiptu uvedeno je nakon napada na crkve Kopta, glavne hrišćanske manjine na Bliskom istoku u gradovima Tanta i Aleksandriji, u kojima je poginulo više od 100 ljudi.
