ExxonMobil bows to Baghdad, suspends Kurdistan oil deal

Citat:ExxonMobil has suspended an accord with the Kurdistan Regional Government for oil exploration in northern Iraq. The company, under threat of a ban by Iraq, informed the Oil Ministry in Baghdad on March 5 that ExxonMobil would not proceed with the KRG contract.
Zanimljivo...Kurdi su imali nešto drugo u planu. Niko od sunita i šiita neće da Kurdi dobiju direktno pare od nafte.
Kurd President Urges No F-16s for Iraq
Citat:Massud Barzani, the president of Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan, said he opposes the sale of F-16 warplanes to Iraq while Nouri al-Maliki is premier, as he fears they would be used against the region.
Barzani also said he thinks that oil giant Citat:ExxonMobil, which has signed an oil exploration deal with Kurdistan against Baghdad’s wishes, could provide significant protection for the region.

“During a military meeting, they talked about problems between Baghdad and Arbil,” Barzani said. “They told him, ‘Sir, just give us the authority, and we would kick [the Kurds] out of Arbil,’” Barzani said. “And [Maliki] answered: ‘Wait until the arrival of the F-16.’”
Ameri su otišli..Sigurno se nerviraju zbog nafte. To znaći, da će neko vojno braniti američke investicije u ExxonMobilu u "Kurdistanu", a to znaći da će Kurdi doći do para. I to puno...Šta o tome misli Turska mene zanima...
