In a speech on Tuesday to mark the 76th anniversary of North Korea's founding, Kim stressed that Pyongyang must continue to improve its defense capabilities, citing the "reckless expansion of the US-led military bloc system."
In light of this process, "the obvious conclusion is that [North Korea's] nuclear forces and the ability to properly use them to ensure the state's right to security at all times should be more thoroughly refined," Kim said, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA ).

North Korea is not known to use a 12-axis MPU. The most well-known MPU is the 11-axis vehicle from which the Hwasong-16 and Hwasong-17 ICBMs were test-launched in 2022 and 2023, while the Hwasong-15 ICBM, tested in 2017, 2022, and 2023, was launched from a 9-axis MPU
