Citat:The Russian Air Force surprised the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) with a series of airstrikes over the Al-Husseiniyah and Hatla districts of Deir Ezzor City on Sunday morning. These airstrikes specifically targeted a large Islamic State gathering in the Al-Husseiniyah District, where local army sources reported that hundreds of terrorists were gearing up to attack the government forces inside the city. The source added that dozens of Islamic State terrorists were likely killed or wounded as a result of these powerful Russian airstrikes over the eastern bank of the Euphrates River. In addition to their attacks at Al-Husseiniyah and Hatla, the Russian Air Force also struck the Islamic State’s positions at the Tayyim Valley in the southwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
