Syrian Army foils massive Jaish Al-Islam counteroffensive in Eastern Ghouta
Damascus, Syria (7:00 P.M.) - Moments after dawn, the Saudi-backed Jaish Al-Islam carried out a powerful assault on the Signal Base east of Rayhan in Eastern Ghouta.
The intense clashes lasted until dawn when the salafist jihadists were pushed back without any success. At least 10 militants were killed with another 10 injured as a result of the failed assault while the Syrian Army suffered 8 casualties and 11 injured.

Сиријска обавештајна служба поседује аудио-запис разговора између терориста ДАЕШ-а и војске САД пре него што је изведен ваздушни напад коалиције предвођене Сједињеним Америчким Државама на трупе сиријске војске у близини Деир ел Зора 17. септембра, изјавила је председница Народног савета Сирије.

„Сиријска војска пресрела је разговор Американаца и ДАЕШ-а пре ваздушних напада на Деир ел Зор“, изјавила је Хадија Халаф Абас, председница сиријског парламента.

Амерички авиони гађали су владине снаге у Сирији у близини источног града Деир ел Зор у коме су погинула 62 припадника војске Сирије, а стотину особа је повређено. Пентагон је првобитно саопштио да је ваздушни напад био грешка и да су циљани терористи ДАЕШ-а. Председница сиријског парламента додала је током своје посете Ирану да након што је коалиција извршила напад на владине снаге, америчка војска усмерила је напад терориста на сиријску војску. Напад на владине снаге тестирао је прекид ватре којем су посредовале Русија и САД, а који је ступио на снагу почетком те недеље. Руски министар спољних послова Сергеј Лавров у петак је изјавио да је потребно одвојити терористе ДАЕШ-а од умерених опозиционих снага да би се примирје одржало. Велика Британија, Аустралија и Данска потврдиле су да су њихове ваздухопловне снаге учествовале у овом нападу. Хадија Халаф Абас је истакла да ће детаљи бити објављени касније.
