On December 16, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) Military Media released a video showing a fighter of the group dodging four airstrikes carried out by Saudi-led coalition warplanes while moving on a motorcycle along the border with the Saudi province of Jizan.

On December 21, the Yemeni Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA) announced that Sanaa International Airport, which is held by the Houthis (Ansar Allah), was placed out of service as a result of recent airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition.



Late on December 22, warplanes of the coalition carried out a series of airstrikes on the Houthi-held Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The coalition said that the airstrikes were a response to an attempt by the Houthis to attack Saudi Arabia with a suicide drone, which was intercepted over Yemen’s airspace.

The US Navy 5th Fleet seized a large arms shipment from a stateless fishing vessel during a flag verification boarding in the North Arabian Sea, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on December 23.

The shipment, which was seized on December 20, included approximately 1,400 AK-47 assault rifles and 226,600 rounds of ammunition.
