В АНТАРКТИДЕ ПРИСТУПИЛИ К СБОРКЕ НОВОГО ЗИМОВОЧНОГО КОМПЛЕКСА СТАНЦИИ ВОСТОК

Сейчас на Востоке собирают платформу комплекса, монтаж горизонтальных балок платформы выполнен более чем на треть. Монтаж платформы-основания нового зимовочного комплекса планируется завершить до конца сезона.
Для создания прочного фундамента, который выдержит новую станцию, в течение трёх сезонов [2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022] проводились работы по послойному уплотнению снежной поверхности по технологии, разработанной в ААНИИ. Размер плиты фундамента составил 200 м в длину и 120 м в ширину при мощности в 3 м. Несущая способность плиты в пять раз превышает давление опор станции на поверхность. Геодезическая съёмка по окончании работ определила перепад высот на поверхности менее 10 см.
