Russia Develops Rocket with UAV for Smerch MLRS
Citat:Russia has shown a rocket with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in its warhead designed for the 9K58 Smerch multiple rocket launch system at the Eurosatory 2016 defense and security international exhibition, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.
The rocket was developed by the Splav Research and Production Association in Tula in central Russia, the correspondent said.
According to the association’s press office, the rocket is designed to conduct tactical reconnaissance.
The rocket has a range of 90 kilometers (56 miles) and a weight of 815 kilograms, the press office said. Its warhead with an unmanned aerial vehicle weighs 243 kilograms, the press office added.
The rocket’s unmanned aerial vehicle can transmit data to a distance of 70 kilometers (43.5 miles).

Ukrajinci imaju novu raketu dometa do 300 km ?

Citat:Ukrainian army has test-fired a new guided missile "Vilha" from Soviet-made BM-30 Smech MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System). Ukrainian military officials said that he missile has a range of up to 300 kilometers, and can be armed with various types of warheads, including nuclear.

According to Ukrainian media, the new Vilha missile is fully designed by the local defense industry and can be produced without any components made in Russia. The missile can be launched in less than 38 seconds.

Video and pictures released on Internet, show that the new missile was launched from a MAZ-543 self-propelled launcher, which is the same vehicle used by the BM-30 Smerch Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS).

The Vlha missile uses a GPS-based inertial guidance and correction system, created by the Kiev-based Luch Design Office.
