Deník N first reported this information in March, but now the alleged delivery of howitzers to Azerbaijan has been also confirmed by Slovak MP Juraj Krúpa (SaS).
If this information proves to be true, it would be the largest single order for Czech or Slovak artillery systems since 1989. In the past, Excalibur Army has also delivered to Azerbaijan 152mm SpGHs Dana-M1 and 122mm RM-70M1 MLRS. Arms deliveries to authoritarian Azerbaijan are a frequent target of criticism.
Excalibur Army is also currently fulfilling orders for DITA and Dana-M2 self-propelled howitzers for Ukraine.

Citat:The first two Zuzana 2, which were financed by Germany, Denmark and Norway, were handed over to Ukraine at the beginning of August 2023. However, no Zuzana 2 from this contract has now been delivered to Ukraine for around 9 months.
According to a Denník N report, this is due to missing barrels since the manufacturer is prioritizing DITA howitzers which will be delivered to Azerbaijan over the Zuzana 2 howitzers which will be delivered to Ukraine.
According to the report, in addition to the two Zuzana 2 delivered last year, seven Zuzana 2s have been produced, but are still without barrels which prevents a delivery to Ukraine.
I would like to point out once again that, as far as I can tell, these are unconfirmed media reports, but this would explain why just two Zuzana 2s have been delivered to Ukraine since the €92 million contract was officially announced in October 2022.
