The Airbus A400M, production number MSN139, took off from Airbus Defence and Space facilities in Seville, Spain. After flying over the regions of Huelva and Seville, south-west Spain, during which time the aircraft's engines and systems were tested, Kazakhstan's first A400M landed 5 hours later.

With the official groundbreaking ceremony on December 4, the construction of the maintenance centre has now begun. From mid-2027, Airbus teams will service and maintain A400M military transport aircraft of the German Air Force there – right next to the home of the German fleet at the airbase of the 62nd Air Transport Wing (LTG 62).

Over the past few days, the Airbus A400M has completed a new flight-test campaign for its roll-on/roll-off firefighting prototype kit. During the campaign, 9 drops were performed, each delivering 20 tonnes of retardant and creating highly concentrated lines over 430 metres long.
The goal was to enhance the kit's performance and validate its efficiency for indirect firefighting operations
