Antonov Signs Agreement to Build An-132s In Saudi Arabia
Citat:On February 21, 2016, Mykhaylo Gvozdov, President of Antonov Company, and Ali Mohammed Al−Ghamdi, CEO of Taqnia Aeronautics Co., signed an agreement on cooperation for establishment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of aircraft manufacturing complex and AN−132 production in cooperation with Antonov Company.

The AN-132 – intended for short- and medium-haul routes -- will have varied use, from troop transport to cargo and can be outfitted with a variety of cabin configurations. The aircraft will have a maximum cruising speed of 500 kilometers per hour and a maximum cruising altitude of 9,000 meters with a maximum payload of 9.2 tonnes. Antonov projects a potential market for the aircraft of 200 units between 2018 and 2025. Engine deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2016, with first fight of the AN-132 in 2016.

New Saudi-made plane ’to take off next year’
Citat: A new military transport aircraft manufactured locally will be tested next year after 18 months of development and design.
This is according to Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammad, president of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
The AN-132 is the result of cooperation with Ukraine and would see 80 planes produced, partially in the former Soviet nation, he said.

Citat:The Indian Air Force (IAF) will issue a request for proposal (RFP) next month for the overhaul of 20 Antonov An-32 airlifters to independent Indian maintenance repair and overhaul providers. The move follows problems with an upgrade by the OEM in Ukraine, on the heels of deteriorating relations between that country and Russia. Meanwhile, a long-planned Indo-Russian project to eventually replace the IAF’s 105-strong fleet of An-32s has stalled.
