40 years Ecuador Air Force "Cazadores" squadron
Citat: Among the turmoil of economic recession and protests against government, the Fuerza Aerea Equatoriana (FAE, Ecuador Air Force) celebrates its 100th birthday modestly. There will be no airshow or parade, usually held at Guayaquil in October.

However, to commemorate 40 years of Escuadrón 2112, Cheetah C FAE-1377 was adorned with special markings. This unit, part of Ala de Combate No.21, is based at Base Aérea Taura, 30 km east of Guayaquil.

zanimljivo da sa kfirovima bas nista nije moglo da se uradi pre desetak godina...imali su oko 10 CE (C10) modernizovanih, na nivou cita, ali naravno sa jacim J79 motorima. Morali su da se maltretiraju sa uvodjenjem cita i sad kraj...

The last flight of a Denel Cheetah fighter in South African skies took place this afternoon when Cheetah C 376 undertook a Flight Acceptance Test. Ex-SAAF Cheetahs were sold to Draken Int'l in the US where they will fly aggressor missions against the USAF.
Cheetah C 376 last flew in 2001 with the SAAF.
The process of returning the aircraft to service started earlier this year. This is the final aircraft to be made airworthy by Denel. The Cheetahs were phased out by the SAAF in 2008.

Ecuador puts a definitive end to the use of the Cheetah fighter
Citat:The Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE) will no longer operate its fighter jets of the type Atlas Cheetah C-III/D-III. Despite its deactivation in 2020 and being considered in 2022 (by the government of President Guillermo Lasso) the recovery of part of the fleet, its return to operational service is no longer possible.

The main reason is the problems with their ejector seats and the fact that parts of these aircraft are no longer manufactured (nor are they available on the market) and it is estimated that approximately 24 months will be needed to be able to manufacture them again to specific order and at considerable costs.
