Prvi prototip će pooleteti 2025, te bi serijska proizvodnja otpočela 2035.

Ostaje samo još da se vidi ko će tu sa kim ući u saradnju. Da li će se evropske zemlje dogovoriti i ujediniti, te da li će Britanci ipak potražiti saveznika preko okeana. Ipak će Amerika početi sa radom na 6. generaciji.

Pressure for a quick deal is mounting ahead of a September election in Germany. Disagreements over IPRs meant the countries missed an end-April deadline previously set by Germany and France to broker a deal that would secure the next phase in Europe's biggest defence project, whose total cost is estimated at 100 billion euros ($120 billion).

Participants will put together a list of IPRs by mid-May, spelling out what can be shared by all partners and what must be kept confidential for specific companies, the source said.

Dassault predicts decade of delay for FCAS fighter
Dassault, one of the three primary industrial partners on the trinational Future Combat Air System (FCAS)/Systčme de Combat Aérien Futur (SCAF), has said that continuing delays to agreeing terms will delay the entry into service of the New Generation Fighter (NGF) element of the programme by at least a decade.

Under the current published timeline, the first flight of the NGF demonstrator was scheduled for 2027, with the final proposed design frozen in 2030 ahead of a proposed in-service date of 2040. Speaking to French media, however, Dassault CEO Éric Trappier said that the current planned in-service date is no longer tenable, with 2050 being a more realistic timeline.
