Spanci bi da prave nov avion za zamenu C101. Mada nesto sumnjam u ovo, sem ako bas po svaku cenu ne zele da daju svojoj vazd. industriji nesto da radi.

The Spanish Ministry of Defence (MoD) expressed a sincere interest in a fully Spanish designed new military training aircraft for the Ejército del Aire (EdA, Spanish Air Force) to replace the current F-5M and C101EB fleet. The still to be designed and developed aircraft should be operational by 2025!
Although time is really short and funding uncertain, Airbus Spain seems confident to be able to develop this new aircraft and collaborate with other Spanish companies for the aircraft's mission equipment. The waiting now is for the MoD to further specify their requirements.
The new aircraft is planned to be part of the so called Integrated System of Teaching in Flight (ITS) programme that besides the aircraft itself, will consist of a ground-based emergency exit trainer, cockpit simulators, flight simulators and computer-aided teaching. A complicating factor is that the withdrawal of the CASA C101EB is scheduled for 2021 meaning that if all goes according to plan a four-years solution needs to be found to guarantee continuation of jet pilot training.
On 14 June 2018, Scramble Facebook News mentioned the presence of two Leonardo T-346A advanced training aircraft during the airshow at Murcia/San Javier AB held on 9 and 10 June 2018. The presence of these aircraft was related to the apparent interest of the Ejército del Aire (EdA, Spanish Air Force) for this aircraft as a possible replacement for their aging fleet of CASA C101EB trainer jets.
Decisions have not been made, but local sources claim Leonardo offers the T-346A also as a replacement for the equally aging fleet of F-5M based at Badajoz/Talavera la Real AB.
