Citat:BAE Systems says it is progressing well with Project ‘Centurion’, which will see Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoons upgraded to Phase 3 Enhancement (P3E) standard by the end of 2018. The project is a UK Air Capability program that will mean the Typhoon meets sufficient multi-role standards to effectively replace the Tornado GR4 in service. ‘Centurion’ involves the addition of the MBDA Storm Shadow stand-off cruise missile, the Brimstone anti-armor missile and the Meteor BVRAAM.
Trials have this year continued at a pace with the four Eurofighter partner nations, with some notable milestones in terms of weapons carriage to enhance the Typhoon’s potent performance. From this November, the RAF will begin operational evaluation trials with the new P2E software, which adds Storm Shadow and Meteor.

Citat:On export opportunities, Gutierrez told the audience that Malaysia under the lead of BAE Systems and the UK government has no news at the moment, while in Indonesia, “we believe we have a good offer to re-vitalise Indonesian industry."
“In the Gulf, we hope for new orders from existing customers, and are very interested in getting into Qatar,”
Citat:On the topic of the E-Scan radar, the commitment by Kuwait, Germany, and Spain is already there, while the Italian Air Force is considering it. Upon contract signatures, the radar could be fielded by 2018, and Gutierrez expects production to begin 2017, with Kuwait possibly being the first customer.
