To sa njihovim novim nosačima aviona i izbora aviona podseća na priču oko konstruisanja ECF lovca jer se opet ponavlja ista priča da britanci i francuzi zajedno započinju nešto (zajednička gradnja nosača aviona) što će na kraju najverovatnije da rezultira sa dva različita proizvoda.

Amerikancima za nosace im trebaju i F35C i F35B

Kako sam procitao na novi Gerrard R Ford bice pola F35C i pola F18SH
F35C verzije ce stici postepeno isto kao sto ce postepeno povlaciti F18 C/D

Jedno pitanje Wasp klasa koliko F35B ce moci nositi imaju ih 8 jos grade America class i imaju jedan preostali brod sa Tarawa class.

USAF estimates F-35 will cost $32,000 per hour to operate

"I think we've normalised to a couple of numbers now, about $25,000 per flying hour for the [Lockheed] F-16 C/D model and about $32,000 roughly for the F-35," says USAF chief of staff Gen Mark Welsh. "That number may continue to adjust itself slightly as we decide what factors are in or not, but that gives us an idea now."

U.S. Navy Details Amphibious Ship Mods Required For F-35
Citat:The U.S. Navy has identified “several specific initiatives on the flight deck” of landing helicopter dock (LHD) amphibious assault ships the service says the vessels will need to accommodate the F-35.
Adm. Jonathan Greenert, chief of naval operations, acknowledged Wasp-class ship modifications have been designed for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) vertical lift-and-takeoff variants.
“We did some mods on the Wasp,” Greenert said at a media briefing during the International Maritime and Defense Exhibition (Imdex) Asia 2013 in Singapore.

Unit cost for the aircraft has also dropped somewhat with the Program Acquisition Unit Cost (PAUC) falling to $108 million from $112 million while the Average Procurement Unit Cost (APUC) slips from $91.8 million to $88 million. The average Unit Recurring Flyaway (URF) which assumes "the quantity benefits of 61 Foreign Military Sales aircraft and 660 International Partner aircraft" is $65.9 million for the F-35A, $77.4 million for the F-35B and $77.9 million for the F-35C.

Citat:The F-35 joint strike fighter will be operational for the US Marines in December 2015, followed by the Air Force in December 2016 and the Navy in February 2019.

The initial operating capacity (IOC) dates were delivered to Congress on May 31 and announced shortly thereafter.
