F-35I C4 software enters production

Citat:The command software system for the Israeli air force’s (IAF) new Lockheed Martin F-35I Adir combat aircraft has entered production following completion of the development and testing phase.

The command, control, communications and computer (C4) system is being developed by Israel Aerospace Industries’ Lahav division, which announced on 3 April it had completed the system definition, prototyping and testing phases ahead of production.

IAI says generic communications infrastructure is used in the C4 system that is based on software-defined radio technology, adding to an airborne communications network that will “dramatically improve over legacy systems”, namely the Lockheed F-16 and Boeing F-15.

Similarly, Lockheed Martin is engaged with Cyclone Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems, on external fuel tanks to augment range beyond the 18,500 pounds of fuel carried internally by the F-35. At a later phase, Israeli defense and industry sources say they hope to develop with Lockheed Martin — and with the consent of JSF partner nations — conformal fuel tanks to significantly extend the range while in stealth mode.

odlicno pisete, samo mi nije jasno da li se ovde prica o taktici, ili avionu. Jer sve napisano govori da je avion-patka. za odstrel, i da sada samo neka taktika moze da ga napravi operaciskim. Kakav awaks, i njegova pomoc u slucaju sukoba dobrih vojski. Zemlje kao nas mogu da bomarduju i sa f15, sledecih 100 godina.

sta ce biti za 20 godina? sto se tice radara, sa novim tehnologijama?

To sve nije bitno dok se trosi, i idustrija zivi. jednom kada stanes, treba ti 20 da krenes sa mrtve tacke. Tako da ce se f35, popravljati, nadogradjivati, a ujedno i praviti se nesto novo. jer sve je to ipak samo novac koji treba potrositi.
