It Takes 41,500 Hours Of Labor To Build A Single F-35A According To New Report

Over a five year period of time, the labor it took to assemble a single F-35A dropped by a whopping 62 percent. This is skewed somewhat due to the number of airframes ordered in 2012 compared to 2017, but the between 2016 and 2017 alone the same metric dropped an impressive 12 percent. This is a considerable change for just one year and tells an important story when it comes to the maturity of the F-35's design compared to 2012.

Even during World War II, when the fate of Britain hung in the balance, it took a whopping 13,000 man hours to build a single Spitfire Mk V. In contrast, it took the Germans 4,000 hours to build a Me109G.
We found the chart below in the forums at WW2Aircraft.net and we can't confirm its accuracy, but it seems to be a good comparative snapshot of the time it took to build other WWII aircraft. You will notice the massive delta in efficiency just over a single war year for all the types stated:

Pre dva tri dana objavljen je zvanični izveštaj inspekcije pri komandi USAF o programu F-35A. Kako sada stvari stoje malo je verovatno da će Block 3F postati operativan do oktobra 2019. godine premda je i to već više puta prolongirano. Block 4 se i ne spominje u izveštaju. Ako i dovrše Block 3F do oktobra 2019. godine to znači da prvi novoproizvedeni avioni u tom bloku ulaze u budžet tek 2020/21. godine i ulaze u jedinice krajem 2021. godine. To dalje znači da prvi skvadron ne može da bude operativan pre početka 2023. godine u Americi a 2024. godine u Evropi. A reč je o F-35A Block 3F. A kada će Block 4 e to teško da i sam Bog zna.

Problem je u tome što ne postoji jedna verzija Block 3F nego je to teški work in progress.

Očigledno postoji ogroman pritisak da se borbena verzija softvera izbaci a razvoj i testiranje ni izbliza nije gotovo. Drugo ova česta krpljenja možda ukazuju i na to da arhitektura celog sistema nije dobro osmišljena pa se krpi od slučaja do slučaja.

Even more worryingly, trials identified that the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile, which the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy intend to use as the F-35B’s main air-to-air weapon, cannot currently be used to its full potential by the supersonic stealth jet. After six test firings in simulated combat scenarios, test pilots identified “key technical deficiencies in the ability of the F-35 to employ the AIM-120 weapons”.

Futurama ::Očigledno postoji ogroman pritisak da se borbena verzija softvera izbaci a razvoj i testiranje ni izbliza nije gotovo. Drugo ova česta krpljenja možda ukazuju i na to da arhitektura celog sistema nije dobro osmišljena pa se krpi od slučaja do slučaja.
Koliko puta se godišnje, zapravo mesečno unapređuju razne aplikacije koje svakodnevno koristimo. Sasvim normalno gde je softver "krvotok". Nije ovo dokaz ni za šta, sem da su sredili neke probleme, bagove ili otključali nove mogućnosti i tako u krug. Kodiraj, testiraj softver i onda na samim avionima.
Smatram da je jedini problem što su kod pojedinih rešenja jednostavno preambiciozno pristupili. Rusi verovatno imaju knzervativniji pristup, gde je bitno da radi i da se avion može što pre borbeno osposobiti, a onda ćeš imati a, b, v, g ... а, б, в, г, д ... verzije sa sve brojevima

Problem je ovde o tendenciji u razvoju svega generalno.
Da bi se postigla konkurentnost, krenulo se sa ubrzanim razvojem bez dvoljno promisljanja, a kasnije i testiranja.
Tako se, da bi se suprostavilo konkurenciji, izbacuju poluproizvodi na trziste. Tako je pre neku godinu izasao Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise sa bagom koji je bio vezan za string tip podataka, i koji su resili u prvom "Major" update-u. Na koji se cekalo 3 meseca.
Znaci kompanija koja je kupila ovo razvojno okruzenje je morala da ceka tri meseca da se otkloni bug u osnovnom tipu podataka koji bilo koja aplikacija koristi.
Sada, vojna industrija bi trebalo da bude otporna na ovakve izazove, ali ocigledno da nije. Razvoj F-35 ne ide kako je bilo zamisljeno, troskovi rastu, i onda se izbacuju verzije softvera koje daju bar neke mogucnosti trenutno za ulozene pare, jer bi u suprotnom program bio otkazan. A onda slede patch-evi, itd. Kao da se radi os softveru za kucnu upotrebu, a ne softveru koji upravlja avionom vrednim preko 200 miliona USD.

Nekako imam osećaj da se to još dugo neće promeniti.
Važno je da se uleti nogom u vrata, a onda kreće karanje sa svih strana i na sve moguće načine.
Kod Rusa i Kineza sigurno ima problema tokom razvoja softvera. Samo teško da će se o tome raspravljati na sva zvona.
