Citat:Germany might discontinue it plan to procure 35 units of Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II Joint Strike Fighters from the United States.
This is due to fear that the US Government may opt to activate "emergency switch" should the US disagree on how Germany uses the fighters.
Instead Germany is urged to procure the latest variant of the Eurofighter, the Tranche 5 variant, which will also reduce reliance on American military tech.
If thia pushes through, this would just be one of those deals that US defense companies would be losing due to the Trump Administration's fallout with Europe.
