The HAL Tejas flew its first public day demonstration at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition on Mar. 29. For some unknown reason, the drag chute was jettisoned a few seconds after deployment.This lead to a delay in the flying display program as the recovery crew from the RMAF had to drive down the runway to collect back the chute.
