americki piloti, ususkani jacinom motora iza njih, ne postuju procedure tokom uzletanja.
pa posle prc...
deo izvestaja nakon nesrece:
On Apr. 20. 2018, an F-22A assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron had failed to take off and the jet slid about 6,514 feet down the runway before coming to a stop. Investigators determined that the pilot had incorrect Takeoff and Landing Data (TOLD) for the take off and he failed to apply any corrections to the incorrect TOLD. He had prematurely retracted the landing gear while the jet had insufficient speed to maintain level flight.
The board also found that other F-22 pilots are rotating their aircraft during take off at a lower speed than that calculated by the TOLD. And there is an organizational acceptance to this incorrect technique.
Investigators also found that the F-22 community is overconfident in the aircraft’s ability to take off due to the high thrust generated by the engines. This lead to a decreased emphasis on the take off data."

Citat:Ironically, a shortage of F-22 stealth fighters helped to drive the new approach to aerial warfare. In 2013, the U.S. Air Force’s Alaska-based 3rd Wing devised a new way to deploy its 40 F-22 Raptor stealth fighters in order to make the most efficient use of the limited overall number of Raptor airframes — just 120 or so of the roughly 180 F-22s in service are “combat-coded” and equipped with the latest software and weapons.
Instead of always painstakingly deploying entire 20-plane squadrons or even the whole 40-jet wing , as custom dictated , wing officers wrote new procedures for sending a quartet of F-22s plus a single supporting C-17 cargo plane practically anywhere in the Pacific region possessing a suitable airfield, all within 24 hours of the word “go.”
The 3rd Wing gave the idea its “Rapid Raptor” name and proudly briefed the concept to the Air Force’s then-chief of staff Gen. Mark Welsh. The aim was for the 3rd Wing, during wartime, to quickly disperse its F-22s across many bases instead of concentrating them at just one facility where they might be vulnerable to, say, a Chinese ballistic-missile barrage.
Soon the whole six-squadron front-line F-22 force adopted the Rapid Raptor concept. In April 2016 the Florida-based 95th Fighter Squadron sent a pair of F-22s on a quick-fire tour of Eastern Europe as part of the U.S. military plan for deterring Russia in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In March 2017, a C-17 supported two F-22s on a mission to Australia. On the ground, the F-22s refueled from the C-17’s wing tanks.

Izgleda zajebano.
Pitam se, koji novi projekat kriju tamo negde po pustinji i kako li tek taj izgleda.

Ugradjen prvi deo iz 3D stampaca
Citat:The piece in question is a fairly minor part—a bracket installed in a kick panel in the F-22 cockpit. Originally made from aluminum, the parts are replaced 80 percent of the time during Raptor maintenance. According to Hill Air Force Base, the new replacement part is made from titanium powder and uses a laser-based powder bed fusion process to build the part layer by layer.
Unlike the aluminum part, the titanium piece (seen above) won’t corrode, so once installed it could last the lifetime of the aircraft. The part will be monitored over time, and if it is proven to last, similar parts will be installed in all F-22s. The part was installed at the Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, where all F-22s go for depot-level maintenance. The part was ordered up and installed by the 574th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
As aircraft grow older, their parts inevitably wear out at a faster rate, meaning the planes spend more time undergoing maintenance. Spare parts become harder to get for planes no longer in production (the F-22 Raptor production line was shuttered in 2012). It can take months after ordering a replacement part for the thing to actually arrive.
But 3D printing allows the Air Force to quickly manufacture whatever parts it needs. The Air Force says that if this bracket works out, future orders for the part could be filled in just three days.
Of course, 3D printing is still relatively new, and the service is still in the early stages of using it to replace standard parts. As a result, there is considerable work to get a 3D-printed part approved for a high-performance jet fighter. According to a Lockheed Martin manager involved with the process, “We had to go to engineering, get the prints modified, we had to go through stress testing to make sure the part could withstand the loads it would be experiencing–which isn’t that much, that is why we chose a secondary part.”
In addition to the bracket, there are five other parts waiting to go into 3D-printing production for the F-22.

A zašto?
Oni predlažu a šta tekst kaže dalje?
