Singapore’s new F-15SG multi-role fighter aircraft are now operationally ready, marking Full Operational Capability status with a ceremony officiated by Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen at Paya Lebar Air Base yesterday.
The F-15SG, operated by 149 Squadron, is one of the most advanced variants of the F-15 strike aircraft and has a distinguished combat record. The Republic of Singapore Air Force took delivery of the aircraft in May 2009. Since then, the pilots, weapon systems officers and maintenance crew have undergone intensive training to operate and maintain the aircraft. Drugar nije to za sletanje na NA kao i kod F-16 to je za sletanje na PSS u vanrednim slucajevima .On nema stajne trapove po standardima US Navy da bi mogao da izdrzi opterecenje pirlikom sletanja na NA.
