F-15C EAGLE ARMAMENT
During Operation Desert Storm, USAF F-15Cs carried four AIM-7M Sparrow radar-guided missiles on the fuselage stations and four AIM-9M Sidewinder heat-seeking missiles on rails beneath the wings. Additionally, the fighter mounted a General Electric M61A1 Vulcan 20mm rotary cannon in the right wing root, fed from a large drum in the center of the fuselage. The drum carried 940 rounds of high-explosive incendiary (HEI) ammunition, which was fired at a rate of 6,000 rounds per minute.
