Evo nekoliko (jeste, vrlo mutnih) slika ovog detalja BM varijante.
Vrlo zanimljiva i upotrebljiva izvedba.
Citat:A note aside: the aircraft won't be upgraded exactly to -SMT standards, hence the designation "-SMP" (custom version for Peru). A new, heavily modified and upgraded digital version of the N019 radar will be used instead of the standard N010 Zhuk-M that is used on the -SMT (with a smaller planar array antenna so that it can fit inside the radome of the actual MiG29S without undergoing structural modifications to the front fuselage) and the planes won't undergo the heavy modifications to the middle fuselage and wings required for the larger fuel tanks the MiG29SMT has, which would also require newer engines. Leaving that aside, the upgrade in avionics, sensors and pilot-aircraft interface will be "SMT-like"

Citat:August 2008: contract with MiG corporation on upgrade 6 MiG-29 and 2 MiG-29UB to something similar to SMT standard, so called SMP (P for Peru).
2010: according to the RSK MiG annual report 2009, modernization is suspended.
Citat:Eight years ago Russia offered Peru a $250 million loan for use in refurbishing their Russian-made transports, helicopters, and warplanes. This got negotiations going on several deals to get more of Peru’s military aircraft operational. Four years ago a deal was agreed on to refurbish the 18 Peruvian Mig-29 fighters for about $110 million. This put an end to an embarrassing bit of military procurement.
Citat:This all began after Peru’s war with Ecuador in 1995. Unhappy with the outcome of that conflict Peru, in 1996, bought second-hand Mig-29 fighters and Su-25 ground-attack planes from Belarus for $350 million. Russia, angered that the sale went to Belarus and not to them, refused to support the aircraft (with spares, technical assistance, and upgrades). After two years of negotiations the Russians were persuaded to provide maintenance, as well as sell Peru three more MiG-29s.
Over time it became clear the MiGs weren't much use. The deficiencies became embarrassingly evident in 2001, when a MiG-29 crashed in front of an anti-corruption panel checking the airworthiness of the fighters. The cause of the crash was traced to a generator the pilot failed to turn on before flight. Another MiG-29 had been lost in 1997.
Citat:Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (RAC MiG) has completed the upgrade of MiG-29 fighters for Peruvian air forces, RIA Novosti reports. It was stated by the editor-in-chief of Natsionalnaya Oborona (stands for National Defense) magazine, Igor Korotchenko.
It was reported earlier that the contract with a total value of $10 million on upgrade of eight MiG-29 fighters to MiG-29SMT version was signed by Peruvian Ministry of Defense, Aviamir S.A.C. (representative of RAC MiG in Peru) and RAC MiG in August 2008.
“RAC MiG has delivered eight upgraded MiG-29 fighters to the 6th group of Peruvian air forces", - Korotchenko said.
Citat:According to Korotchenko, the upgrade of MiG-29 fighters for Peruvian air forces included installation of “glass cockpit” with advanced avionics, updated radar, refueling system, provision of missile launching capabilities (using R-77 air-to-air missiles and PКR Kh-31A, PRLR Kh-31P and UR Kh-29 air-to-surface missiles). The assessment of technical condition of components and engines has been performed (with optional replacement if necessary), the electric wiring was replaced.
"As a result of this upgrade the service life of the jets was extended by 4000 hours. At present Peruvian air forces are negotiating with RAC MiG in order to upgrade another 8 MiG-29s”, - Korotchenko added.
Air forces of Peru are operating 17 MiG-29S fighters and two two-seated MiG-29UBs, forming part of the 6th group, located at Pedro Ruis Galio base (Chiclayo). Sixteen MiG-29S and two MiG-29UB aircraft were acquired by Peruvian Ministry of Defense in 1996 from Belarus. Ministry of Defense of Peru signed an agreement with Rosvooruzhenie in 1998 on maintenance of operated aircraft and delivery of three additional MiG-29S jets. Two fighters were lost in crashes in 1997 and 2001.
Citat:“The MiG-29SM is a multi-role fighter with improved airborne avionics and enhanced nomenclature of high precision weapons capable to destroy the air and ground (surface) targets. At development of the MiG-29SM aircraft version the main attention was paid to reduction of the up-grading cost and terms. The MiG-29 aircraft upgrading to the MiG-29SM version can be fulfilled without aircraft delivery to Russia. The Customer’s companies or of the third countries may be involved into upgrading.”
