Plan of joint Czech-Slovak air squadron fails

The Czech-Slovak squadron was to operate 22 Swedish-made Jas-39 Gripen fighters, 14 Czech and eight Slovak planes, which Slovakia was to acquire. Its main base would be in Čáslav, central Bohemia, and an additional airport in Sliac, central Slovakia.

U švedskim medijima se pominje mogućnost ugovora sa Indijom za ca 200 Gripena... Sklapanje bi verovatno bilo u Indiji... Postoje takođe naznake da su Belgija i Finska (ponovo) zainteresovane.

Ma klasicno evropsko politicko proseravanje, nemaju para za 8 aviona... a moze da se uzme 9 UH-60 za iste pare Nepostoji jeftinija opcija za njih od te predlozene zajednicke eskadrile sa Cesima + su tu Madjari, Gripen zona kako je nazvase. Krpljenje njihovih 8 MIG-29 nema nikakvu svrhu, bacanje para u bunar da bi kao imali par letno sposobnih zastarelih aviona... Posle lepo zamene L-39 sa L-39 NG.

^^Navodno slovaci su postigli dogovor oko iznajmljivanja Gripena,ali to ce morati da odobri nova vlada,tek od sledece godine posle izbora.

SAAB RECEIVES ORDER FOR COUNTERMEASURES DISPENSERS FOR GRIPEN

Slovak Defense Ministry Eyes Gripen Lease Deal After Election

Citat:Slovakia's Defense Ministry is planning to sign a deal to lease Saab JAS-39 Gripen fighter jets from the aircraft manufacturer following the parliamentary election which is scheduled for March 2016, the ministry's spokesman told local business daily E15.

The Slovak Air Force is aiming to ink a contract under which it will be provided with eight fighter jets enabled with 1,200 flight hours per year. The deal is to be modeled on a similar lease contract signed by neighboring Czech Republic. Prague pays some 1.3 billion krona (US $53 million) annually to operate 14 JAS-39 Gripen aircraft enabled with 2,200 flight hours per year.
