janezek67 ::Gripen ima snažnu konkurenciju i to sa strane F16 V, pošto ovaj sada ima daleku bolji radar i elektroniku, veči dolet i nosljivost borbenog tereta, a sa druge strane tu je i FA50, koji ima još manje troškove održavanja, a ima sličan dolet i nosljivost borbenog tereta za pola cene Gripena.
Slovaci su radije uzeli F16, a sa druge strane, Indonezija, Filipini i Irak FA 50.
Ако поредимо Грипен и Ф-16 било би фер поредити Грипен Е са Ф-16 Блок 70/72 а не старији Грипен Ц и Д.
Ф-16 се налази у саставу РВ Ирака и Индонезије, поред тога Ирак има и Л-159 и Су-25 а Индонезија Су-27 и Су-30.

FA 50 Golden Eagle bi mogli nazvati Fa 16 light.
Barem po letnim pefrormansama nije loš, dolet, manevarske sposobnost, nosivost tereta su mu slične kao kod Gripena C.
Radar mu je slabiji, pošto amerikanci nedaju, da je bolji.
Na FA 50 sigurno bi se mogle integrirati rakete Darter, a naoružanje za napad na ciljeve na zemlji i nije loše.
Vek trajanja zmaja avijona je oko 8.000 sati.

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz’s conservatives prefer to keep the aircraft, even though Austria is locked in a legal battle with Airbus and the consortium. It accuses them of fraud and wilful deception in connection with a $2 billion Eurofighter order in 2003. They deny the Austrian allegations.

Saab and FMV Sign Contract for New Gripen E Equipment
Citat:Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding new equipment for Gripen E. This is a supplementary contract to the previous Gripen E contract, and is valued to approximately SEK 430 million.
The original contract, regarding development and modification of Gripen E, signed with FMV in February 2013, was based on the terms that certain equipment from the existing Gripen C/D fleet within the Swedish Armed Forces should be reused.
Instead of reusing equipment from the Gripen C/D, new equipment is acquired for a part of the total Swedish order of 60 Gripen E aircraft. This approach secures the availability of the Swedish Gripen C/D fleet in operational service, while Gripen E is being delivered and introduced to the Swedish Armed Forces.
