Stigla prva 2 korejska KT-1 za Peru
Citat:Of the 20 planes to be supplied to Peru, 16 will be built at a facility on Peru's Las Palmas Air Force base built in cooperation with KAI.
Seoul signed a US$200 million deal with Lima in late 2012, with the delivery of all planes to be completed by the end of 2016. The new planes will replace the aging fleet of EMB-312 and MB-339 planes currently used by the Peruvian Air Force.
KAI said Peruvian President Ollanta Humala, the country's defense minister and top brass of its armed forces took part in a ceremony for the delivery of the two trainers Tuesday (Peruvian time).
South Korea's sole aircraft manufacturer and total system integrator said it has been working closely with the South Korean Air Force and Lima to train pilots and mechanics about the KT-1P. It has also sent technicians and engineers to Las Palmas so they can help speed up the process of setting up a local assembly line.
