One of the standout features of the Izdeliye 30 is its Chevron nozzle which is claimed to improve thrust efficiency, stability, maneuverability and overall performance while reducing engine noise.
The addition of Chevron nozzles will likely greatly affect the aircraft's infrared and radar signatures.
The AL-51F-1 is a two-shaft, low- bypass , afterburning jet engine . The structure of this powerful engine consists of a three-stage fan driven by a single-stage low-pressure turbine, further paired with a five-stage high-pressure compressor driven by a single-stage high-pressure turbine.
When compared to its predecessor, the AL-41F1, the AL-51F-1 engine offers a 19% increase in thrust to weight ratio, a 6.4% increase in specific thrust, and a 9% reduction in specific fuel consumption.
The Su-57 is a fifth generation multirole fighter aircraft with stealth technology and advanced electronics. The aircraft is capable of carrying weapons in internal fuselage compartments.
Su-57 deliveries to the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) began in 2022 and will continue until 2027 with 76 units.
According to sources, six production series Su-57s have been delivered to VKS. Another 22 are scheduled to be sent to VKS by the end of 2024.

26 December 2023 Юрий Слюсарь, head of OAK, in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel announced that the state defence order (Государственный оборонный заказ, ГОЗ) for the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter in 2023 has doubled, and the order for 2024 is even larger. He did not say how many planes were delivered. Probably, as in previous years, it happened on 25th December.
