Citat:Russia's United Aircraft Corporation, part of state corporation Rostec has stepped up production of modernized Su-30SM2 multirole fighter jets at its Irkutsk Aviation plant.
The modernization was carried out on the instructions of the Russian Ministry of Defense in order to strengthen the air force's combat fleet, especially in its detection range and target identification capabilities.
The Su-30SM2 multirole fighter jet is an aircraft that has been refined from previous editions of the Sukhoi fighter jet, because it is claimed to be the most sophisticated aircraft equipped with more advanced radar and weapons.

The Indian Air Force is considering extending the operational life of its Su-30 MKI fighter jets by another 20 years or more.
With over 260 of these planes in its fleet, the IAF aims to ensure their availability for operations until 2045 and beyond.
"Indian Air Force is looking to extend the service life of the fighter jets by another 20 years or more. Indian Air Force carries out extensive tests on the airframe and other parts of the aircraft to extend their service life and has had earlier experience in doing so," defence officials told Indian media.
Indian Air Force is also working on boosting the capabilities of the aircraft by equipping it with major upgrades in terms of indigenous advanced radars, avionics and weapon systems. It is working to upgrade its fleet of Sukohi-30 MKI fighters with indigenous weapon systems and a radar named Virupaaksha.
"Service life extension would help the Indian Air Force to maintain the fleet of its mighty Su-30s around 2045-2050," they said.
