PAF Eyes Buying More FA-50 Aircraft
Citat:The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is mulling to acquire more advanced versions of South Korea's Mach 1.5 capable FA-50 light combat aircraft.

"Yes, it is an option. The FA-50s is a good lead-in trainer fighter aircraft na rin, halos multi-role, pwede siyang mag-air-to-ground (it can be considered almost as a multi-role aircraft as it can do air-to-ground missions) or air-to-air. It provides a good training opportunity for the pilots to step up to higher performance aircraft," PAF chief Lt. Gen. Connor Anthony Canlas Sr. said in a media interview on Monday.

Recently, the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) bared its plans to upgrade the range and capabilities of its FA-50 aircraft by increasing its fuel and weapons carrying capacity.

The PAF has 12 FA-50s which it acquired from KAI for PHP18.9 billion.

Iraq announces first T-50 take off
Citat:The Iraqi Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on 22 June that one of the Iraqi Air Force's KAI T-50 jet trainer/light combat aircraft had taken off for the first time.
The MoD released a video of armed forces chief Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah visiting Martyr Muhammad Alaa Air Base next to Baghdad's international airport for an event that was attended by South Korean officials. A T-50 was shown speeding down a runway and lifting its forward undercarriage, although not actually taking off.
The Iraqi Air Force received 24 T-50IQ variant aircraft under a contract signed in December 2013, with the first being delivered in 2017. Iraqi Minister of Defence Juma Inad said in a television interview in August 2021 that the aircraft have never been used because of a funding problem.

Toni ::Posle posete Poljskog ministra odbrane tamo je bila i Poljska delegacije da vidi ponude za K2 i FA-50.
Navodno bi poslednju modernizovanu verziju FA-50 kao zamenu za MIG-29 ali jos nije donesena odluka. Ceka se misljenje delegacije po povratku u Poljsku.

Ovo dođe barem 2 ili čak 3 puta jeftinije od F16. Dobra dopuna, pošto Poljacima treba i broj avijona.

In the future, the publication reported, it may be possible to arm this version of the FA-50 with a medium-range air-to-air missile like the AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, or AMRAAM.

All deliveries are planned to be completed “in 2023, with 12 aircraft in the current FA-50 Block 10 version being delivered first, followed by 36 aircraft in the [Block 20-like] FA-50PL version.”

Upon the completion of deliveries, the first 12 aircraft are to be upgraded to the FA-50PL version.

“It is expected that a training center with simulators and a service center will be built in Poland by around 2026,” according to the publication. “Before deciding on the order, Polish pilots were already flying FA-50 aircraft in South Korea.”
