Not so fast!
Now in Poland there's a 12 aircraft in FA-50GF standard (official name: Gap Filler). Aircraft are not even close to FA-50PL - it's a simple Korean basic version! Standard PL is still in plans and is not defined yet, and Polish-Korean talks are still taking place. Poland expects 36 more aircraft to be delivered from 2025, already in PL standard (if it will be ready!). The 12 GF aircraft received at the end of 2023 will be upgrade to PL standard with the participation of Polish aircraft overhaul plants.

Poland states that such integration is part of the agreement for the procurement of 48 FA-50 while KAI says no such promises have ever been made while claiming the contract only ever called for a feasibility study of a potential integration.

However, as the F-35s are being delivered incrementally, the FA-50s were seen as a crucial stopgap solution to address the capability gap.
