The MDN said the plan is to create a joint Algerian-Italian company to manufacture three types of light and medium helicopters at the Ain Arnat facility for the purposes of transporting personnel and cargo, medical evacuation, surveillance, and control.
It suggested that the intention was to produce helicopters for domestic and foreign customers and said it planned to develop training and qualification services for clients.
