Korupcija u Grckoj prilikom nabavke 12 AH-64 u 2003.godini
Prosecutors charge businessman, defense official over helicopter contract
Citat:Prosecutors have brought new charges against businessman Thomas Liakounakos and a former high-ranking Defense Ministry official in connection with the purchase of Apache military helicopters more than a decade ago.
Corruption prosecutors lodged criminal charges of breach of faith against Liakounakos and Spyridonas Travlos, who served as general secretary of the Defense Ministry during Yiannos Papantoniou's stint as minister.
The charges were lodged following a probe by corruption prosecutors into the procurement of 12 Apache helicopters which cost the Greek state 594 million euros as well as offset agreements linked to the contract.
Another seven former ministry officials also face charges in connection with drawing up and executing the contract for the helicopters.

Lockheed secures first order for Apache day sensor kits
Citat:The colour-blind Boeing AH-64E gunship will receive an optical upgrade following the US Army and Qatar’s procurement of an initial batch of “modernised day sensor assemblies” from Lockheed Martin that “bring colour to the cockpit for the first time”.
The upgrade to the Lockheed-built “Arrowhead” sensor turret on the nose of the Apache gunship was flight tested in 2014. It provides colour imaging and a higher-resolution display to give operators a clearer picture of the battlespace at longer ranges and with a wider field of view.
The ceiling value of the modernised day sensor assembly (M-DSA) Phase 2, Lot 1 contract with the army and Qatar Emiri Air Force is not to exceed $130 million with $54.3 million obligated initially to 35 sensor upgrade kits, Lockheed discloses. The completion date is March 2019.

^^^ To je ovo
Citat:Lockheed Martin won a $54.3 million Army contract to upgrade a day-and-night vision target-acquisition-sensor display in the AH-64 Apache helicopter cockpit to color for the first time, the company said Thursday.
The Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) has long been "the eyes" of the Army's attack helicopter, but pilots will be able to identify targets in infrared and in color at further distances through an additional field of view with a higher resolution with the new upgrades to the displays.
The 35 Modernized Day Sensor Assembly (M-DSA) kits and spares will also include a new laser-pointer marker and a multi-mode laser with eye-safe lasing capability.
Under the contract, Lockheed will furnish M-DSA kits to the Army and to the Qatar Emiri Air Force. Production will take place at Lockheed's Orlando and Ocala, Florida, facilities through March 2019.

Vojska hoce jos 24 AH-64E umesto 60 Black Hawk. Takodje hoce da garda zadrzi svoje AH-64.
Citat:The commission’s report released on 28 January recommends that the army should buy 24 more remanufactured Boeing AH-64E Apaches while acquiring 60 fewer Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks.
The proposal would add $420 million to remanufacture AH-64D models to the AH-64E standard, but that cost can be fully offset by buying 60 fewer UH-60s and slowing the rate Black Hawk acquisition over the next five years, the commission says.
