Taiwan AH-64E accidentally jettison four-rail launcher Citat:A Taiwan AH-64E attack helicopter accidentally jettison a four-rail launcher during an exercise on Nov. 6 in Pingtung.
The launcher fell as the helicopter was releasing flares, the Army Aviation Special Troops Command said. It said that the launcher has since been recovered.

Berlin Security Conference 2021: Germany shows interest in Apache gunship Citat:Germany has expressed its interest in the Boeing AH-64 Apache, issuing the US government with a request for information (RFI) on the helicopter gunship.
Speaking to Janes at the Berlin Security Conference in the German capital, a senior company official confirmed that an RFI had been received from the Bundeswehr and that it had been responded to.
“Just prior to Covid [in early 2020], the German government asked the US government for information related to the Apache – it was an RFI. The US government responded to that,” Michael Hostetter, vice-president, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, Germany, said, adding that things have since been quiet on the subject owing to the ongoing pandemic.

Lockheed Martin to Upgrade Egypt's Apache Helicopters Citat:Lockheed Martin won a contract valued $102.4 million to upgrade Egypt’s AH-64 Apache helicopters.
As per a Pentagon release issued last week, the contract calls for the production and delivery of hardware components and spares of the Apache Attack Helicopter Modernized Target Acquisition Designation/Pilot Night Vision Sensor System (M-TADS/PNVS). Although it does not mention upgrades to Egyptian helicopters, Lockheed Martin confirmed it in a tweet on January 4.
Work is expected to be completed by July 31, 2024.
In May 2020, the U.S. State Department approved Egypt’s request to modernize 43 AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters to the latest AH-64E Apache Guardian standard for $2.3 billion.
