Novi motori za MI-8!
First Flight of Mi-8T Helicopter with New Motor Sich Engine
An Mi-8T helicopter with a TVZ-117VMA-SBM1V series 4Eh engine manufactured by the leader of domestic engine building (OAO Motor Sich) has made first flight in Zaporozh'e (Ukraine) at the enterprise's airfield. The president and chairman of the board of directors of OAO Motor Sich, V.A. Boguslaev, general director of the Yutair Airline, A.Z. Martirosov, chief designer of OAO Motor Sich, S.I. Shan'kin and representatives of potential user companies were present at the ceremony of the helicopter which has already made a good showing of itself in different conditions.
This modification of the helicopter is being developed for the purpose of increasing the flight performance of the Mi-8T, especially in conditions of usage in regions with high ambient air temperature of +52 and in mountainous conditions.
The basic build-up of the new TVZ-117VMA-SBM1V, the most unique helicopter engine in the world, which was created according to a Mil' firm requirements specification, allows Mil' aircraft to climb to an altitude of 8,100 meters in 13 minutes, not in a spiral, but vertically, exceeding the normative speed of climb two times at the same time. Earlier, Russian helicopters hardly were able to overcome the 5 kilometers boundary, and then had to pause at an altitude of 1,200 meters for 10 minutes in order to cool the turbine. The performance of the engine on the Mi-8T lifted into the Zaporozh'e sky has been improved significantly! In particular, characteristics of maintenance of power to high temperatures of the ambient air and flight altitude. Moreover, service life to first overhaul and between overhaul was increased to 3,000 hours, and assigned -- up to 9,000 hours. At the present time work is under way on further increase of service lives: to first overhaul and between overhaul up to 4,000 hours and assigned - up to 12,000 hours.
By the way, OAO Motor Sich has never stopped according to newspaper clipping records and continues to work in the improvement of the flight performance of its installations. A full complex of flight tests is planned s the next stage in the work for confirmation of the announced technical requirements and characteristics, both for the new engine and for the helicopter. Finalization of the work is planned in the first half of 2011.
The TVZ-117VMA-SBM1V engine has undergone a full cycle of state tests, received international certificate of type ST267-AMD and responds to the most rigid international requirements. The engine was created at the initiative of the Zaporozh'e enterprise and has been financed completely by it.
Nadam se da ce ovi izuzetni motori naci svoju primenu i na MI-28N i KA-50/52?!
