Belarusian firm develops Mirage electronic self-defence system
Citat:The Minsk-based Defense Initiatives is developing a new electronic self-defence system for ground-based vehicles and fixed installations.
The Mirage is specifically designed to jam airborne sensors operating in any surface surveillance modes including ground-mapping, side- and forward-looking, and sector scanning.
The 22.5 kg Mirage measures 496 mm in width and 577 mm in height. It comprises an antenna suite with eight fixed receive units and jamming module that detects and analyses search radar signals before shaping the appropriate response and radiating it in the direction of the hostile sensor.
The system is stated to be capable of covering a full 360° azimuth and 40° in elevation.
