Italijani prave novo vozilo na temu, bice predstavljeno za mesec dana na Eurosatory 2016

With a new hull and better armor than the first Centauro, the upgrade will have a 120mm gun, compared to the 105mm gun on the original, and a more powerful, 720 horsepower engine.
The sources said that up to 140 Centauro IIs might eventually be ordered, replacing the Army’s oldest Centauros from the approximately 400 that were ordered, of which about 240 are still in service after more than 140 were sold to Jordan.

Nije ruagov ima Oto-Melara svoj top gotovo identičnog vanjskog izgleda. Ruagov top ima manje rupica na kraju cevi u t.z. gasnoj kočnici.

Italijani kupuju nove Centauro 2 + Freccia

The 530 million euro order is scheduled to be concluded by 2023.
Built by a joint venture of Italian firms Leonardo-Finmeccanica and Iveco, the Centauro II has superior armor to the first Centauro, a 120mm gun (compared to the 105mm gun on the original) and a more powerful, 720 horsepower engine.
The tank will carry one crew member in the hull and three in the turret.
The Italian army is meanwhile building up its fleet of Freccia, or VBM, armored vehicles, which will form the basis of new brigades and which first entered service in 2009 before being deployed to Afghanistan.
