djox ::BAE Systems CV90 bid fulfills all key Czech MoD requirements
Citat:On Sept. 1, BAE Systems submitted a bid, in partnership with state-owned defense integrator VOP CZ s.p., to the Czech Republic to deliver a new fleet of 210 CV90 vehicles in seven variants within the Czech MoD’s budget, on time and to schedule.
Citat:Industrial Benefits of the CV90 bid:
-The Czech CV90 MkIV vehicles would be delivered as a Czech defense industry project, inspired by the Czech innovation strategy. VOP CZ s.p., the main partner on the bid, is joined by other Czech industry companies including MEOPTA, VR Group, VTU and Ray Service, and an additional 30+ Czech defense companies and Czech academia.
-BAE Systems Hägglunds’ offer substantially exceeds the mandated 40% direct content and will immediately inject substantial investment into participating Czech industries. The bid also provides added value opportunities that could fundamentally strengthen the country’s defence industry and boost other economic sectors as well.
-In addition, the indirect effects of the BAE Systems offer would bring benefits in excess of 50 billion CZK through the life of the program and provide significant opportunities for companies to join the BAE Systems global supply chain.
-The transfer of CV90-related intellectual property to support strategic Czech innovation goals and ensure the Czech Army independence in maintenance, repair and future development of the vehicle.

I to još bez rasta cene el. energije.

Takodje i ovde traze transfer odredjenih tehnologija i udeo u proizvodnji.
Deluje kao namerno postavljeni nemoguci zahtevi...
Citat:The Czechs expected:
non-floating tracked vehicle;
armed with a 30-millimeter rapid-fire cannon, an additional 7.62-millimeter machine gun and anti-tank guided missile launchers;
360 ° protected at level 2 (protection against 7.62 mm caliber intermediate ammunition) and on the front at level 5 (protection against 25 mm caliber armor-piercing ammunition).
However, these two requirements prove to be technically important in the context of which vehicle will be selected in the tender or which criterion will have the greatest chance of being removed from the list. These two requirements turn out to be:
the ability to accommodate eleven people in a vehicle (three crew members and eight walkers);
the ability to move the vehicle by rail.
Citat:From our point of view, the problem of moving infantry fighting vehicles on railway wagons seems trivial. However, the railway gauge in the Czech Republic is more restrictive than that in Germany or Poland. In practice, it limits the maximum dimensions of the new BWP to:
329 centimeters of the width of the fuselage (without easily removable additional covers);
224 centimeters wide for the manned turret (as above);
208 centimeters of the height of the hull (with the maximum permissible width);
284 centimeters of the vehicle height (as above, from the ground to the top of the tower);
314 centimeters in height of the vehicle (taking into account the elements protruding from the ceiling of the tower).
For comparison, the same parameters for the possibility of rail transport in Poland are as follows:
360–400 centimeters of the width of the hull;
252–360 centimeters wide for the manned turret;
188 centimeters of the hull's height (for a width of 400 cm);
268 centimeters of the hull's height (for a width of 380 cm);
333 centimeters of the vehicle height (for a tower 360 cm wide, from the ground to the tower's ceiling);
363 centimeters of the vehicle height (taking into account the elements protruding from the roof of the tower).
