The beginning of a series of proceedings in arbitration and civil courts put KTZ on the verge of bankruptcy, but the concern was eventually saved thanks to the intervention of the Russian government. The plants and institutes of the holding were transferred to the operational management of the state corporation Rostec, after which large-scale audits began in the divisions. According to their results, almost all the former heads of the concern were fired, and some also became defendants in criminal cases.
