Cutaway Chichester Miles Consultants “Leopard”, the ambitious project to create a tiny Executive Jet with capacity for 4 people including the pilot, had minimum dimensions not exceeding 7.62 meters in wingspan and 7.88 meters in length, with a curious cockpit that opened completely forward allowing access to its occupants (seen in the first MiG-21F and the F-35), in the first prototype it lacked pressurization but in the second it did have it, its control controls were a small lever located between the pilot's legs in both front seats, with power control in a console between both seats, its fuselage was a structure in light composites and fiberglass basically in the lower part, the fuel was located behind the cabin and under the compartment for the luggage, this is accessed through a hatch in the upper part of the fuselage, its drift was integral as were the tail surfaces that served as elevators and ailerons, the wing did not have ailerons but it did have trailing edge flaps from the fuselage up to almost two-thirds of the wingspan of each semiplane, as well as small compensators, the wing was in a middle position and a long tricycle landing gear, the nose gear was shorter and had two wheels with forward retraction.
This plane was presented in 1982 as a Mockup where it excited many for its futuristic lines. It would be powered by two Noel Penny Turbines NPT-301 jet engines with only 145 kg of thrust. Its development was slow due to the wait for the engines. were available and the promise of soon having a more powerful engine, the NPT-754 with 34 kg of thrust, made its first flight in December 1988, its pilot stating that he was lacking power but its performances were pleasant and without surprises, the NPT company went bankrupt without developing the promised engine, leaving the project without a suitable propellant, causing the firm to look for more powerful but equally compact alternatives, managing to obtain two new, more suitable Williams International FJX-1 engines that allowed the construction of a second. prototype now with a pressurized cabin and complying with the benefits projected from the beginning, especially the speed and flight altitude of 45,000 feet, it flew in 1996 but again the market interest and financial support to continue the development was lost. Its designer, Engineer Miles, also created a military training version with a tandem cabin that did not go beyond a model. This plane was ahead of its time and along with another failed proposal (which did not fly) the Foxjet, in this case not having the small engines that were planned to be used (these had been requested for exclusive use in US Forces cruise missiles). US navies)
I reiterate, it is important to say that it still looks futuristic today and was born at a time when, despite the push put in by the firm, it could not go beyond two prototypes that languish today, one in a museum and the other in the unspecified headquarters of a firm. as gatekeeper. motorbike

Cutaway Myasishchev M-50, premiered the fantastic and feared Soviet strategic bomber that did not go beyond two more prototypes, however, many interpretations of it appeared in the main defense magazines leaked from the Pentagon offices, reason enough to put to work with the companies on their own designs, North American, Convair Boeing, the latter presented a proposal with a resemblance to the Soviet model, authored by the Myasishchev firm and retouched by Motocar

Cutaway Vicker Supermarine Swift FR.5, the failed one as a fighter but better as a reconnaissance aircraft, the 50's were running and the British industry did not stop designing and building new aircraft for the RAF and the Royal Navy, the swift was intended as a superior fighter but it failed and was converted into a reconnaissance plane, a role that it fully fulfilled, now I found an excellent scan (separate) which I retouched and now I share with you for the enjoyment of the followers of the topic, author Mike Badrocke and retouched by Motocar to unite both halves of the original scan

Dopuna: 15 May 2024 12:41
SSAC in its initial outlines to analyze proportions and the idea of the concept to be developed on a Supersonic Flying Car named Ultracar for having features that surpass anything previously seen in this type of vehicle, breaking the patterns of poor general performance and even better than the current inhabited drones, remotely controlled and offered for the air taxi service, this concept surpasses the ideas of the "Hypercar" and its extravagant prices that are around millions of dollars and without ever being explored its true and amazing benefits, the Ultracar Offers that and much more than an extra. In a present where the Super Sonic passenger flight no longer exists (since the withdrawal of the Concorde) and the current offers are only on paper (including this one). First concept that takes advantage of the best of two worlds and more...! Motocar
