Indija kupuje avione direktno iz francuske, tamo proizvedene i ispurecene u Indiju. To je najjeftinija varijanta.

Brazil kupuje avione sa licencom za proizvodnju, transferom tehnologije, ugradjivanjem domacih komponenti umesto izvornih, i usvajanjem domacih komponenti i domace izradjenih delova za izvoz Gripena u trece zemlje, kako iz samog Brazila tako i iz Svedske. To je najskuplja varijanta.
Cetiri do pet puta skuplji je Gripen pod takvim ugovorom nego sam avion napravljen u Svedskoj i isporucen bez dodatnih usluga (obuka, naoruzanje, infrastruktura). Duplo skuplji nego pod ugovorom kakav je Indija potpisala za Rafal.

Brazil cuts 2015 borrowing from Sweden for Gripen jets

Brazil seeks to renegotiate Gripen financing plan

Brazil drops plans for Gripen C/D lease

Citat:Plans to lease 12 Saab Gripen C/D fighters as an interim solution for the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) have been cancelled according to Brazilian media reports published on 30 June.

The plan, which began to be negotiated in 2014, sought to fill an air defence gap left by the retirement of the 12 Dassault Mirage 2000B/C fighters in December 2013, as well as to serve as a transition fighter to the more advanced Gripen E/F on order by the FAB and scheduled to be delivered in 2019.

IHS Jane's understands that the plan included the lease of 10 Gripen C single-seat and two Gripen D twin-seat versions in service with the Swedish Air Force, with these arriving in 2016.

Sweden lowers loan cost in Saab fighter deal for Brazil

Citat: Sweden has agreed to reduce the cost of financing a $5.4 billion sale of 36 Gripen fighter jets to the Brazilian Air Force, Brazil's Defense Minister Jaques Wagner said on Wednesday.

Protracted talks over the terms of the financing had delayed a final agreement on the Gripen NG fighter jets made by Swedish planemaker Saab AB.

In the midst of a fiscal crunch, the Brazilian government had sought to reduce the 2.54 percent interest rate agreed last year with Sweden's export credit agency SEK, as part of an austerity drive by Finance Minister Joaquim Levy.

Wagner said the two sides agreed to cut the commercial interest reference rate to 2.19 percent for the SEK financing which Brazil will repay over 25 years with an eight-year grace period.

"The solution was good for both countries. We are going to enter into a world of advanced technology," Wagner said in a ministry statement. The deal will be signed in 12 days and scores of Brazilian engineers will go to Sweden for training with Saab as part of a technology transfer arrangement, he said.

The first Gripens should be delivered to Brazil in 2019. Saab plans to set up a Brazilian assembly line producing the fighter jets through 2024 in partnership with Brazilian planemaker Embraer SA.
