India’s Law Ministry Has Objections to Rafale Deal
Citat:EDITOR’S NOTE: According to Indian media reports, the Law Ministry’s last-minute objections are centered on the liability provisions of the deal. The ministry wants to involve the French government in any future liability dispute, and holds that current liability provisions are unfavorable to India.
Differences of views over contractor liability sank the original, 126-aircraft deal, and could yet sink this smaller deal.
“Parrikar also clarified that the negotiations on the terms and conditions of the contract, including total cost, actual delivery time lines and guarantee period, have not been concluded,” the Indian Express reported May 3.

France Reported to Lower Rafale Price for India
Citat:The Rafale fighter deal that has been stuck for the past several months on pricing issues is likely to move ahead with a new offer from Paris that could see India paying 7.25 billion euros for 36 new jets.
The new offer from France is the lowest price being quoted for the Rafale fighters till now, though a weapons package is to be negotiated separately. Officials involved in the negotiations have told ET that the latest French offer came just over two weeks ago and could be the last price being offered for the Rafale fighter jets that are being procured by India under a government to government deal.

Od meseca,do meseca.....
Rafale Deal By June, Says India’s Defence Minister
Citat:This could finally be it. India’s chronically delayed effort to contract for new medium fighter jets could finally be at an end. While France’s monumental four-year endeavour to get India to sign up for Rafale jets has fluttered endlessly, India’s defence minister has for the first time provided a specific timeframe for contract signatute: next month!
Citat:And that’s precisely where negotiations have been slowed: on final price negotiations. Earlier this month, it was reported that France had put on the table its final ‘take it or leave it’ deal: a $7.25 billion price tag for the 36 flyaway Rafale fighters, with a separately negotiated weapons contract.
