The proposed arms package includes the sale of up to 38 F-16 fighter jets from Denmark and four P-3 maritime patrol aircraft from Norway.

The notification from the Department of State to Congress highlights the strategic importance of this transfer, emphasizing the consideration of political, military, economic, human rights, and arms control factors. The deal, valued at approximately $338.7 million for the F-16s and $108.4 million for the P-3s, aims to address Argentina’s ongoing efforts to modernize its air force and navy.

The F-16 fighter jets from Denmark comprise two batches, with up to six Block 10 fighters and up to 32 aircraft of the Block 15 variant set to be transferred.
Though these are older variants of the F-16, they still hold significant capabilities and will provide Argentina with a substantial upgrade to its air combat fleet.

The additional transfer of four P-3 maritime patrol aircraft from Norway, including one with anti-submarine warfare capabilities, will enhance Argentina’s maritime surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities, allowing it to better safeguard its territorial waters and counter potential submarine threats.

Bez protivbrodskih raketa te 16ce su nebitne za Argentinu.

Ranije JF17 nisu hteli da kupe jer tad Kinezi nisu hteli da prodaju protivbrodske rakete za isti ako se dobro secam.

Danske F-16 u svojim kompletima i nisu imali PB naoružanje prevashodno su korišćene kao klasični presretači. Norveške jesu i prošle su modifikacije kako bi koristile Pingvin rakete.

^ Možda bi mogle Kh-35 da se stave na F-16? E sad dali bi Rusi hteli, pošto nije njihov avion? Mogu i Izraelci svoje rakete da stave na F-16.
