djox ::Jordanski F-5E zavrsili kod TacAir
Citat:Private red air contractor TacAir is the purchaser of the ex-Jordanian F-5Es that we wrote about being pulled off a 747-400F in Florida last February. The aircraft were going to be overhauled by the Northrop Grumman plant located in St. Augustine that also supports the Navy and Marine Corps' F-5Ns, and has upgraded other air arms' aging Tiger IIs with structural and avionics enhancements over the years. These aircraft were the only four delivered from Jordan to the U.S. via air, with the other 17 examples being shipped via ocean freighter to the facility. In all, 21 ex-Jordanian F-5E/F airframes were purchased as part of the deal.

Ugradjuju potpuno novi kokpit u ove reparirane F-5
Citat:This configuration, which consists of a G3000™ flight display and dual Garmin touchscreen controllers (GTCs), boasts an open architecture design that seamlessly integrates with typical mission equipment and hardware so pilots experience a single integrated cockpit system. Utilizing this rapidly deployable solution, the first flight of the Garmin-equipped F-5 is expected later this year.
The modular G3000 integrated flight deck boasts a large and vibrant, high-resolution flight display that seamlessly interfaces to the F-5’s existing mission computer, enabling advanced mapping, tactical radio capabilities, radar display and more. The bezel keys, GTCs and L3 ForceX mission system serve as the pilot interface to the flight display, and the touchscreen controllers incorporate infrared technology so pilots can use gloves in the cockpit. The G3000 has an open architecture that enables seamless mission computer, sensors and systems integration and easily facilitates future upgrades without impacting the avionics.
The NVG-compatible G3000 contains modern, state-of-the-art synthetic vision technology (SVT™) that blends an “out-the-window” view of surroundings on the primary flight display, which is particularly helpful during nighttime operations or in terrain-prone environments. The G3000 also has worldwide communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management (CNS/ATM) capabilities. Additional features within the G3000 integrated flight deck on the F-5 include Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS), global Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) traffic and weather, as well as a video input.

Draken sredjuje Cheetahs
Citat:The first batch of former South African Air Force (SAAF) Cheetahs is currently prepared by Denel Aeronautics for transfer to Lakeland (FL) for use with Draken International.
Nine Cheetah Cs and three Cheetah Ds are being modified and brought back to flying condition by Denel. The aircraft will then be shipped to the USA for further modifications and subsequently will start flying with Draken International in support of the commercial adversary "Red Air" training for the US Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps and possibly allied air forces.
The Cheetahs will add to the growing jet-fleet of Draken International, consisting of A-4 Skyhawks, MB339Bs, L-39 Albatros, MiG-21 Fishbeds, L-159 ALCAs and Mirage F1Ms.

Draken International pilots begin training on ex-SAAF Cheetahs
Citat:Pilots with Draken International have begun transition training on the Atlas Cheetah as the US-based company prepares to take delivery of 12 ex-South African Air Force examples.
On 16 October Draken International announced that John ‘Slick’ Baum became the first American to fly the Cheetah as transition training has begun. “Our friends in South Africa are pure professionals and have gone above and beyond to welcome Draken this week,” the company said.
Conversion flights were carried out in the two-seat Cheetah B 861 (painted in South African flag colours) owned by Denel. The first Cheetah Cs for Draken International will take to the air next week as stored airframes are returned to service by Denel Aeronautics technicians.
Twelve ex-South African Air Force (SAAF) Cheetahs (nine single seat Cheetah C and three dual seat D models) were late last year sold to Florida-based Draken International, which will use them for adversary training for the US Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps.
