To potvrdjuje i fitzroy maclean, u svojoj knjizi "The heretic: The life and times of Josip Broz-Tito", izdanoj 1957 godine.Postoje jos 3 biografa, koji potvrdjuju tu cinjenicu , i sva tri iz 50tih godina proslog veka
Citat:His travels broadened his mind and widened his experience. They also taught him to look after himself. H e learned German and Czech and improved his knowledge of engineering. In the evenings he took dancing lessons and soon spun round as skillfully as any Viennese to the waltzes of Johann Strauss and Franz Lehar which in later years were still to remain his favorite tunes. H e was no longer a simple country boy. By 1913, when, at the age of twenty-one, he was called up for his two years' military service in the Austrian Army, he was working as a skilled mechanic and test driver at the Daimler works outside Vienna.
As a member of an underprivileged minority, Josip Broz, like the majority of his comrades in the Croat regiment in which he served,had no strong feelings of loyalty toward Austria-Hungary or the
Emperor Francis Joseph. Even so he made a good soldier. H e was alert both physically and mentally and interested in military matters.Within a year he was sent on a course for noncommsssioned officers and, having distinguished himself in a fencing compttition at Budapest, was promoted Stabsfeldwcbel (sergeant major) in the Croat infantry regiment in which he was serving.
As fate would have it, Josip Broz was soon to be given an opportunity of proving his worth as a fighting man. O n June 28, 1914, the crisis which had long been brewing in southeastern Europe came to a head. .........................
Not many weeks later, Josip Broz's regiment was sent to the front.In the autumn of 1914 the Russians had advanced over the Carpathians to within 125 miles of Budapsst, and Austrian reinforcements were now thrown in to fill the gap and halt their progress. Josip had already seen some fighting against the Serbs not far from Belgrade, but it was on the Carpathian front that he had his first real taste of war.
On je tek 1923 godine postao clan Partije, obavljajuci , neke marginalne zadatke.Njegov "revolucionarni period" pocinje tek od 1925 godine, kada gubi posao u Velikom Trojstvu (masinist u mlinu), ali postoji licni razlog za to;
