Marinci planiraju da izbace PM i koriste samo M27 u odeljenju

A i prepakovali su odeljenje. Sada imaju još jedan tim.

Ma prepakovali su odeljenje(squad) drugačije. Ranije je bilo k-ir i tri tima od po čet'r marinca, sada imaju k-dni i tri vatrena tima od po tri marinca.

Znači u USMC izbacuju M4 u "steljačkim" pešadijskim jedinicama. M4 će se koristiti samo još kao sekundarno naoružanje u jedinicama za podporu (logistika, artilerija, oklopne jedinice...).

Hmmm m27 kod marinaca ( jedinica za postovanje ) i RPK 16 kod Rusa ....

M70 je navodno po stranim "analiticarima " RPK u kompaktnim dimenzijama bez nogara... ( teza jaca puska , cvrsci sanduk )

Da li je bas JNA imala toliko iskustvo u to doba da se za tako nesto odluci ? Plus ona ispitivanja sa izmjenljivom cjevi....

U.S. Air Force intends to issue contract for M4 training rifles
Citat:The United States Air Force intends to award Olympic Arms a sole-source contract for the supply of additional M4 Training Weapons, according to an Air Education and Training Command notice.
“The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA-Lackland, TX intends to award a single source purchase order to Olympic Arms,” said in Mar 08 announcement made on the service’s weapon and equipment procurement website. “The proposed contract action is for M4 Training Weapons.”
The M4 training rifles or training aids are designed and have been approved by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF) to not fire under any circumstance, and look and feel like an actual M4 weapon. These are necessary to complete the mission objective to create a safe, realistic training environment for all.
The design by Olympic Arms is the only one that has a design approved by BATF. The design does not allow for an individual to take apart and reassemble the device in a way to make it fire. Barrels are drilled with a .212mm size bore that will not allow for a 5.56mm or 223 caliber round to be chambered or fired.

Ali zato Armija nabavlja 160 000 M4

A notice posted by the Army Contracting Command-Redstone on 22 March says that the service is to award arms maker company to procure approximately 167,195 M4 and M4A1 carbines.

The M4/M4A1 carbines provide the U.S. Department of Defense with compact, lightweight weapons that fire NATO 5.56mm ammunition from a 30-round magazine, mount the latest generation of fire control accessories and enablers, and provide increased protection and firepower in close quarters.

The period of performance of the contract(s) will be for five (5) one-year ordering periods to cover FY20-FY24 Army and Department of Defense (DoD) M4/M4A1 Carbine requirements, said in a statement.

For reference, the M4 carbine is a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2 assault rifle. The M4 is a 5.56×45mm NATO, air-cooled, direct impingement gas-operated, magazine-fed carbine.

The M4 carbine is extensively used by the United States Armed Forces and is largely replacing the M16 rifle in U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps combat units as the primary infantry weapon and service rifle.

The weapon delivers superior performance and accuracy for the joint coalition forces conducting the most challenging combat missions. The performance of M4 has been proven across the world in military operations, including combat actions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The US Army has acquired a total of 500,000 M4 carbines since the M4 series was introduced in 1993. The M4 was also exported to the US allied forces and Nato nations as part of foreign military sales (FMS) packages.
