Diesel-electric submarine B-871 "Alrosa" (Project 877V) was founded May 7, 1988 on the stocks shipyard "Red Sormovo". Accepted into service the Navy Dec. 1, 1990. Is part of the 247th separate division of submarines of the Russian Navy's Black Sea Fleet.
