Grci hoce 20 F-35 + 20 opciono
Isporuka ce biti 2028
Citat:At least one fleet of Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II will operate in the Balkans. However, the country that will acquire them will not be Turkey. This will be Greece, according to the words of the Minister of National Defense of Greece, Mr. Nikos Panaiotopoulos.
Speaking to TV channel ERT 1, the minister expressed his positives and hopes. According to him, the first fighter from the first batch of F-35 for Greece will arrive in 2028. Greece has requested the purchase of 20 fighter jets with an option to purchase 20 more.
Mr. Panayiotopoulos explained the complexity of the process. 2028 is the optimal option for the delivery of the first fighter if everything goes smoothly in the negotiations. He recalled that the characteristics and specifications, as well as the terms of the contract, are yet to be specified. This process takes time, the minister said. However, he stressed that concluding such deals generally takes time worldwide.

Ameri im odobrili prodaju 76 vozila AAV
Greece buying vehicles that Marines Corps beached after fatal sinking
Citat:The U.S. government has approved the sale of dozens of Assault Amphibious Vehicles to Greece roughly a year after the Marine Corps barred the tracked vehicles from regular deployments following a fatal sinking incident in 2020.
The U.S. State Department approved NATO ally Greece to buy up to 76 Assault Amphibious Vehicles worth $268 million, according to an announcement on Friday. The Marine Corps, which maintains the vehicles are safe, intends to supply the vehicles from its inventory.
Greece, which has sought the deal since at least 2022, has asked to buy 63 of the personnel variant of the so-called AAV, nine of the command variant and four of the recovery variant, with 63 50-caliber machine guns, as well as MK-19 grenade launchers and M36E T1 thermal sights among the related equipment.
