It is specified that Annalena Burbock was unable to fly from Abu Dhabi to Australia due to a mechanical problem with the landing flaps on the Airbus A340 aircraft of the German Air Force.
Burbock was scheduled to arrive in Canberra on Monday evening as part of her visit to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
The problem was identified a few minutes after taking off from Abu Dhabi, and two hours later the plane landed again safely, dropping about 80 tons of fuel, the pilot said.
