The exposition of the Technodinamika holding of Rostec was presented for the first time at the Partner International Defence Exhibition in Serbia, Belgrade. The company demonstrates about 30 models of military products from three leading enterprises of the holding: Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Plastmass Plant, POISK Science and Production Association.
At the Technodinamika stand you can mostly see the ammunition for tanks, field, and naval artillery with a caliber from 57 to 152 mm, developed by Mechanical Engineering Research Institute. The line of tank rounds with armor-piercing sub-caliber shells is also noteworthy. Among them are the 125-mm 3VBM17 Mango round, the 125-mm 3VBM23 Svinets-2, and an experimental model of the upgraded 3VBM17 Mango-M round.
The main feature of the new products in comparison with the standard 3VBM17 round is the armor penetration increased by more than 20%, which makes it possible to hit almost the entire range of armored weapons and military equipment of foreign countries from a distance of more than 2 km.
In addition, Technodinamika presented a 57-mm 53-UOR-281U round with a fragmentation tracer. The round is designed for firing at air targets, as well as at unarmored vehicles, manpower, open firing points, lightweight constructions, and sea targets. The rounds can be used in a new interspecific 57-mm weapon system based on the deployment of a unified combat module on land chassis for various purposes and on naval ships.
“Serbia is an attractive and promising market for us, it shows interest in the products of our holding. A lot of Soviet equipment is still in service in this country. Considering that military equipment is becoming more and more complex, and its tactical and technical characteristics are getting higher, the modernization and improvement of ammunition are extremely important. We offer foreign customers both various types of weapons and the possibility of localizing production on the customer's territory. In addition, we are ready to ensure the extension of the shelf life of previously delivered products by assessing the condition and, if necessary, carrying out the appropriate repair work,” said Alexander Kochkin, Executive Director of JSC NPK Techmash.
As for the aviation weapons, you can check out the S-8KOM unguided aviation missile with a cumulative fragmentation warhead produced by the Plastmass Plant. S-8 KOM is part of the unguided armament of aircraft, frontline and army helicopters, as well as ship-based aircraft and helicopters. It is designed to attack lightly armored and unarmored military equipment, enemy manpower.
In addition, two product models manufactured by the Plastmass Plant were demonstrated. One of them is a 120-mm round 3VOF119 fragmentation projectile with increased high-explosive action. The ammunition is designed to destroy open and sheltered manpower, unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, and destroy defensive structures.
Another product is a 120-mm round 3VOF69. Its advantage and versatility are in a variety of weapons it can be used with: from the simplest field mortars to automated self-propelled units.
In addition, new-generation detonating fuzes are exhibited at the Technodinamika stand. The 9E285 electronic remote-contact fuze for the 122-mm 9M539 unguided missile with a separated high-explosive fragmentation warhead is particularly noteworthy. The unique remote-contact fuze has two operational commands: the first - to trigger the igniter and separate the warhead, the second - to trigger the fuze of the rocket projectile (BM Grad).
